Mayor's report:
Recently Rush County was a part of the I-74 corridor who applied for the READI Grant. The region was awarded $20 million. In the coming weeks, Mayor Pavey said members of the I-74 will gather and create a plan of action in moving forward.

City department heads shared updates:
Fire Chief Munson announced Kirk Trebley would retire on April 12. Munson also shared that the department is developing a future hire list and updating hiring criteria.
Police Chief Tucker received approval for the extended warranty for the body cameras. Tucker also shared a handout for equipment for the new police car to be received in 2022. Tucker has ordered the vehicle, and this year's police budget will cover the cost. 

Other updates:
Supporting Rushville Public Giving & Community Improvement Corp. will hold its kick-off meeting in the new year. Date to be decided.  

Motions Granted:
Diamond Pet Foods: Annexation of Property North of Town (20 acres filed Nov 12). Resolution 2021-39 Adopting a Written Fiscal Plan and Establishing a policy for the Provision of City Services to an Annexed Area (Liggett Property) – Bridges moved to approve Resolution 2021-39. Berkemeier seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Ordinance 2021-36 Annexing and Making Part of the City of Rushville Certain Described Territory Contiguous to the Corporate Limits to the City of Rushville and Adding Said Territory to the Council District Number 1 - Berkemeier moved to introduce Ordinance 2021-36.
Bond Financing Approval of Development Agreement – Daubenspeck made a motion to approve the agreement of the financing team. 
Ordinance 2021-42 Authorizing the Issuance of Taxable Economic Development Revenue – Berkemeier made a motion to introduce Ordinance 2021-42.
