    RICHMOND – The Rushville Lions’ boys golf season came to an end Monday at Richmond Elks Lodge and Country Club as the team was unable to crack the top three needed for advancement to regional. RCHS fought through a soggy course and an early afternoon shower to finish in fourth place among a dozen competing schools.

    LION BASEBALL
    The Rushville Lions fell to Lawrenceburg April 19, 11-1. Rushville managed only two hits off Tiger pitcher Ethan Weimer, who also struck out 16 batters.
    Harley Fuller collected both Rushville hits and scored the only Lion run. Adam Sizemore started on the hill and suffered the loss. Kameron Morton also pitched in relief.

    It is hard to believe that 2020 Carthage Queen Barb Proctor's reign is coming to an end and a new Queen must be chosen! Barb served her community well and always with a smile on her face, kindness in her heart and words, as well as a sense of humor that is perhaps her most endearing quality!

Photo provided The RCHS Laughlin Center was full of excitement this past Saturday; we crowned a new Miss Rush County. Our court for 2021 Miss Rush County- Olivia Mohler, 1st Runner Up-Katie Yeend, 2nd Runner Up & Miss. Congeniality- Joycelyn Geise and 3rd Runner Up- Carly Buckley. These lovely ladies will reign over the Rush County Fair during fair week June 26 - July 3. The girls are very excited to be a part of fair week. Some of the activities will be handing out ribbons and trophies to the 4-H kids. You will also see them at the baby show, fashion revue, walking around the midway and at the track events. If you see the queen and court out and about, please go up and say hello, and take a photo with the girls. This is just the beginning of some of the events they will attend. Indiana Commission to Combat Drug Abuse
Indiana’s Commission to Combat Drug Abuse will meet virtually Friday morning. At the meeting, Executive Director for Drug Prevention, Treatment and Enforcement Douglas Huntsinger and other commission members will discuss continued efforts related to the drug crisis. Chairman Huntsinger will make an announcement.
