Rush County law enforcement received a special surprise Sunday evening, Jan. 2. The CSX "Pride in Service" locomotive “honoring our law enforcement” made a stop in Rushville on its journey east.

Thanks to CSX, Dave Sheehan, and Matt Busald, law enforcement officers had a rare opportunity to get a picture with the locomotive.
CSX is a leading supplier of rail-based freight transportation in North America with a commitment to serving customers, communities, and those who serve.

"Many of the communities we touch have high concentrations of military families. We have deep connections to and gratitude for the first responders in the areas in which we operate," CSX stated.

CSX serves national and local heroes, including veterans, military, and first responders. CSX makes it possible to connect those who serve and their families to what they need when they need it. CSX continued their statement, "We stand for connecting heroes and their families to their communities and the resources and support they need. We stand for connecting our employees and community members with the heroes they want to thank and honor for their service."
