Huguette F. Monroe, age 95, of Rushville, passed away on November 6, in Rushville. She was born on March 15, 1925 in Reims, France to the late Raymond and Claire (Pale) Kuchenbuch.
Huguette graduated High School in Reins, France in the year 1938. Huguette married Lowell G. Monroe on May 10, 1947 and he preceded her in death on March 16, 2013.
She worked at Schnadig Corporation for over 32 years in Rushville. Huguette was a member of Main Street Christian Church and part of the Rushville Bowling League for several years. She enjoyed knitting for her family.
Huguette is survived by her sons, Gene (Judy) Monroe of Rushville and David Monroe of Rushville; daughter, Patricia (Kenny) Thurston of Rushville; brother, Andre Kuchenbuch of Bordeaux, France. She will also be missed by eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and her grand-dog, Meggie.
Huguette is preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson, Patrick Thurston, two sisters, and brother.
Services were held on Saturday, November 14, at 1 p.m. in Moster Mortuary. Friends visited the family from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday. Burial was held in Rushville East Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Main Street Christian Church, Alzheimer's Association or to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in memory of Huguette.
